Bridging Borders for Sustainable Tourism: NUOL at the Study in Europe Fair

On November 22, National University of Laos (NUOL) team joined the Study in Europe Fair at Vientiane Center! Beyond sharing study abroad opportunities, we were proud to showcase the Tourism-Zero Project, as part of collaboration between Lao and European higher education institutions.

Our team distributed the project leaflets, posters and presented our ongoing work on zero-waste tourism courses to a diverse audience, including government officials, students, employers, and local community members.

Why Tourism-Zero stood Out:

The project captured significant interest for its innovative approach to:

• Raising awareness: Educating the next generation on the environmental challenges posed by modern tourism.

• Industry collaboration: Bridging the gap between universities and the private sector to create practical solutions responding to environmental challenges.

• Shaping the future: Setting a new standard and innovative measures for sustainable tourism in Laos and beyond.

We are excited by the level of engagement from everyone who stopped by! It is clear that building a greener, more sustainable tourism industry is a shared priority for our community.
