Exciting Update from Yunnan University!

Prof. Li Peng, a key member of the “Tourism-Zero” project and faculty at Yunnan University, shared an insightful overview of this innovative initiative at the  Session 11 of the Business Administration Forum, hosted by the School of Business, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. He highlighted core concepts, practical approaches, and real-world cases of Zero-Waste Tourism across different scenarios.

Prof. Li also shared that numerous colleges and universities are now offering courses, conducting research, and engaging in practical activities to raise awareness and develop skills related to Zero-Waste Tourism. Collaboration with enterprises is also underway to train practitioners and support talent development in this vital field.

He emphasized that the successful promotion of Zero-Waste Tourism depends on strong government policies, technological innovation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Only through these combined efforts can the tourism industry achieve sustainable, zero-waste development for a greener future.
