NUOL Highlights Sustainable Tourism Initiative at Erasmus+ Event
Vientiane, Lao PDR – 30 April 2025 – National University of Laos (NUOL) actively participated in the Erasmus+ Information Day for Lao PDR 2025, presenting their Tourism-Zero Project. The event, hosted by Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and Sports, showcased opportunities within the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
The event was co-chaired by the Director General of Higher Education and the EU Ambassador to Lao PDR, the Information Day attracted over 200 attendees both in person and online. The attendees include academics and students from public and private universities and colleges, representatives from international organizations in Lao PDR and overseas.
The NUOL team detailed the Tourism-Zero Project, outlining its goals, ongoing activities, and anticipated outcomes in promoting sustainable tourism practices within the country. Their presentation underscored the university’s commitment to environmentally conscious development and its engagement in international collaborations. The strong turnout at the Erasmus+ Information Day reflects the keen interest in fostering educational partnerships between Lao PDR and the European Union.
