Aligning Tourism-Zero with Sustainable Development in Chiang Mai

On 14 November 2025, CMU team presented the Tourism-Zero project to the UN Resident Coordinator and the Partnership & Development Finance Officer from the UN in Thailand during their recent visit to Chiang Mai University, Thailand. The visit was part of a follow-up on our ongoing collaborations and activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the presentation, we highlighted:

✅ How the Tourism-Zero project directly aligns with relevant SDGs.

✅ Its significant positive impacts on local communities, students, and the overall quality of life in Chiang Mai.

This project is regarded as a testament to our commitment to making tourism more sustainable and beneficial for everyone. We look forward to continuing working with other partners toward driving sustainable development forward!
